More Than A Dream.
About Me
My path to Division 1 soccer was anything but straightforward. From setbacks and injuries to playing overseas and eventually competing at the D1 level, every step taught me something about what it actually takes to keep moving forward.
IT ALL STARTED
I grew up in upstate New York and started playing soccer when I was 6 years old for my local club teams.
ACADEMY EXPERIENCE
After being cut from the first academy-level club I tried out for, I earned a place with another club and began taking my development more seriously.
WHERE MY PASSION GREW
When I was 13, I spent four months living with my grandpa in England. Being surrounded by the culture of the game completely changed the way I saw soccer and played a big role in growing my passion for it.
NEW YORK RED BULLS U19 TRIAL
At 18, I earned the opportunity to trial with the New York Red Bulls U19 Academy. It didn't lead to a contract, but it showed me the level I was capable of reaching.
ENGLAND — QUORN FC
After moving to England for university and being cut from the university's first team, I found another opportunity with Quorn FC and gained my first semi-professional experience.
ANOTHER STEP FORWARD
I made my USL League Two debut in 2022, beginning what would become another major part of my development as a player. Competing against high-level college and aspiring professional players gave me another environment to develop and prepare for the next level.
SPAIN — VILAMARXANT CF
Later that year, I moved to Spain and joined Vilamarxant CF, gaining another completely different experience of the game and continuing my development overseas.
UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY
I spent three seasons competing at the Division 1 level at the University at Albany, continuing to develop while gaining firsthand experience of what it takes to perform at the college level.
UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS
I entered the transfer portal looking for a new challenge and committed to Memphis to continue my Division 1 career in a completely new environment.
COOKET5TRAINING
Now I'm using everything I've learned throughout my journey to help ambitious players better understand the path to Division 1 college soccer.
When I was younger, I didn't have a clear roadmap for what it took to play Division 1 college soccer. I learned through experience — making mistakes, getting cut, moving overseas, navigating recruiting, competing at different levels, and eventually finding my way to D1.
That's why I'm building Cooket5training and Road To D1. My goal is to take everything I've learned throughout my journey and give ambitious players the knowledge, tools, and perspective I wish I had when I was chasing the same goal.
